About
I’m Anthony Lamot, an entrepreneur and consciousness explorer.
I’ve always been drawn to systems—how they work, how they scale, and how they shape the people inside them. Some of those systems are external, like companies and technology. Others are internal, like attention, perception, and awareness.
That dual curiosity has been a constant throughout my life.
Building
I’ve been a builder for as long as I can remember.
It probably started with LEGO as a kid and playing a ton of Age of Empires II—creating structures, experimenting, figuring out how things fit together. That instinct carried forward into entrepreneurship, where I founded and worked on several startups before co-founding DESelect.
DESelect became the one that truly scaled.
We built it into a global SaaS company serving enterprise teams, and eventually took it through an acquisition.
That journey taught me how systems behave under pressure—how organizations evolve, where they break, and what it takes to build something that lasts.
Exploring Consciousness
In parallel, I’ve spent most of my life exploring the inner side of systems.
I hold a Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Ghent University in Belgium, where I graduated magna cum laude. But my interest in consciousness has always extended far beyond formal education.
For nearly two decades, I’ve been tracking my dreams and experimenting with practices like lucid dreaming and other forms of awareness training. Not as an escape, but as a way to better understand perception, creativity, and the structure of experience itself.
I’ve also long been interested in longevity and transhumanism—questions around how far human potential can be extended, both biologically and technologically.
Today
These days, my focus sits at the intersection of those worlds.
I advise founders, explore new product ideas, and continue to study systems—technical, human, and internal. I’m especially interested in where technology meets cognition, and how both shape the future of how we live and think.
This Site
This site is a place to think in public.
I write about:
- building and scaling companies
- systems thinking
- consciousness and perception
- and the overlap between them
Closing
I’m selective about what I engage in, but always open to thoughtful conversations.
If that resonates, feel free to reach out.
